About
A mobile practice, on purpose
Precision Mobile Massage has never had a studio, and that was a decision rather than a stage on the way to one.
Why there is no studio
A structure that works: what you did before this, what made you retrain, what you noticed about studio work that you wanted to do differently, and what you have learned about people's homes since. Specific beats polished. If there is a reason you moved to Colorado, or a client story that changed how you work, put it here.
The practical version of the argument is straightforward. A studio adds rent, a front desk, and a commute at both ends. Removing all three means more of the appointment is massage, more of the fee goes to the therapist, and the hour afterward — which is where a lot of the benefit actually lands — is spent at home instead of in traffic.
How the work is approached
Specialising in problem-focused therapeutic massage. My approach with new clients starts with an inquisitive mindset, in which I listen and observe body and narrative signs that help me create a strategy for your session.
Typically I will use a mix of modalities including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point and sports techniques. All of it depends on your goals and on what you are comfortable with — outcall and mobile means the session comes to your home or hotel, and all supplies and travel are included.
What you will not get is claims that cannot be supported. "Releases toxins," "realigns your fascia" and "resets your nervous system" are red flags to informed clients and to Google alike. What is honestly true is more persuasive anyway: that specific, unhurried work on the right tissue reliably makes people move better and feel better, and that you will be told if massage is not the right answer for what you have got.
What being invited into someone's home means
Mobile work carries a responsibility a studio does not. You are in someone's living room, often alone with them, frequently when they are at their least guarded. The standards that follow from that are not negotiable and they are worth stating out loud rather than assuming.
Every session is fully draped throughout. Linens are laundered and used once. Every surface the table touches is wiped down before setup and after pack-down. Nothing is photographed. Nothing about your home, your health, or your household is discussed with anyone. If a session needs to stop, it stops immediately and without a conversation about it.
Where the practice works
Home base is Lafayette, and the service area radiates out from there across Boulder County and down into the Denver metro. Each city has its own page with the practical detail — travel times, parking notes, neighborhoods, and what tends to get booked there.
Credentials
- Colorado massage therapist licence
- Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Division of Professions and Occupations. Ask for the licence number and it will be given.
- Certified Medical Massage Therapist
- A clinical qualification beyond the state licence, focused on treating specific presenting problems rather than general relaxation work.
- hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) knowledgeable therapist
- Trained to work safely with hypermobile connective tissue, where ordinary pressure and stretching can do harm rather than good. Say so when you book and the session is adapted.
- Certified Personal Trainer
- Bodywork informed by how the body actually moves and loads, which is what makes the sports and recovery work more than massage with a different name.
- Professional liability insurance
- Carried, and covering in-home and mobile work specifically.
